Does anybody know who made this chair? I have a picture of it. Leather chair with drapped curved wood arms?
It is the tall back office chair. It was sitting in my grandfather's basement for about 20 + years would be my guess. The arms are drapped and curved over the front of the chair. I just need to know if someone knows of a website I can go too to see if they have anything like that chair. Someone said that it might be a Herman Miller art deco chair.
If it is Art Deco, try the link below. It has over 200 photos of Art Deco chairs from the 1950's. Maybe you will recognize yours there. Good luck!
Where can I find specific information on Paul T. Frankl's "skyscraper chair"?
I'm doing a project on a specific art deco american chair that I thought was reallly an edge to Art Deco in America, the "skyscraper chair" designed by Paul T. Frankl, yet I can't find a big enough picture to post on a board or enough information on himself and his skyscraper designs. If anyone has an idea were i can look online i would be really grateful... Thank you.

Need to match an ottoman to a chair?
I received a beautiful eggplant colored microsuede ottoman for a gift and now I can't find a chair to match it. I had asked for a chair and ottoman in eggplant color but didn't get the chair. At one time, they were everywhere, now I can't find one even online.
My bedroom is an art deco styling with lots of glass in purple and green and my bedspread is a platinum color.
Any idea what other color I could put with this ottoman to make it fit in the room? I'm looking for an art deco styled chair, like an armed club chair.
You could do a bright shade of green for the chair, or a gray that looks good with your spread. You don't have to match the ottoman to the chair so don't worry about not finding your eggplant chair.
Art Deco Drapery question!?
Have a cranberry color Bogart couch with 2 small pewter color chairs. My walls are a silver/grey. What color drapes should I do? I want it to be formal.
Try this formal look:
silver drapes with a cranberry border at the bottom. or vice versa, this is hughly popluar as it was in the deco period. be careful with the silver drapes, it should be a silk material, silk is formal. also, try just broderong thw window with a treatment, not covering the whole window, this too will be more formal. and remember to pay attention to detail like the rods, they should also be a very formal, like a brushed silver with crystal ends.
it will be beautiful
