will a normal bank exchange a 1 oz gold bullion that is U.S. legal tender for its gold value?
it has a face value of 50$ but im having a very hard time getting rid of it for its 850$ value i have no documentation for it because it was a gift and i tried a coin collectors place and they were being dicks because im not eighteen so i want to know if i can take it to my bank and exchange it for its rough 850$ value
No - a bank will only give you the $50 face value.
You are correct that coin dealers will not deal with anyone under 18. Most dealers are very much afraid of buying stolen merchandise, which is why they will only deal with adults with proper ID. Can't you get your parents (or other relatives) to go to the coin shop with you?
Technically, you need to be 18 to sell on eBay, also, but in practice, eBay doesn't verify your age.

Being paid in gold bullion?
What is your opinion of being paid in circulated gold bullion coins? For example, I demand that I get paid in regularly circulated 1 oz $50 gold bullion coins. Should I get taxed on $50, the face value of the coin, or $960, the price of gold? Just curious.
http://www.muckrakerreport.com/id31.html
How would this article influence your answer?
The market value of the coins, which is probably near the value of the gold in the coins.
Whether the coins are US currency is completely irrelevant, as you could insist on payment in 19th century US gold coins, and the result would be the same.
Reading the fraudulent web site you referred to, one could also insist on being paid in currently circulated coins with errors. The face value is still irrelevant. In the absence of further information, the value of a $50 note is $50, while the value of the $50 coin is approximately $960.

About gold from Apmex?
I'm looking to buy some gold from Apmex because local areas are limited here and they are usuallly out. Are the prices for golden coins worth it? I want to buy 1 oz. gold bullion. Can anyone give me any do, dont's, tips or hints? Thanks,
APMEX is a top-notch bullion seller. I have used them may times & have never had an issue.
However, that being said, they are out of inventory on ALOT of their items, & the premium on whats left is very high. Currently, they have a $65 mark-up (premium) on the Gold American Eagle. That VERY high for a 1 ounce coin IMO. If you want to fo with APMEX, I'd recommend looking at their Mexican coins. These are still very liquid, but they are not exactly measured in ounces, which some dislike. The 50 peso is 1.2057 oz, VERY nice coin, one of my favorites, also check out the 20peso (almost 1/2 oz) really beautiful coins.
My recommendation is to look at Bullion Direct (https://www.bulliondirect.com/catalog/) they have lower premiums & a better selection right now. I have used them a number of times also, they are very reliable.
Hope this helps!

Seeking purchase/selling gold/silver bars? Low cost commission and reputable.?
The dealer/broker should be in the U.S.A. Additionally a web address would also be preferred.
Iam looking for .999 pure silver in 100 oz. bars, .999 1 oz. gold bullion rounds.
Do you understand the concept for investing in precious metals?
You invest in the actual metal as an insurance policy in case the financial end of the world comes
You invest in precious metals company shares if you want to make money on the increase of the metals value.
If your silver increases by 100% ($13), after commission, buying & selling you will make $3/ounce
if you bought the same dollar amount in producing company silver stock, your stock would probably go up 300% +
If you bought gold ounces $650 US ea + commision $20 and gold went up $100 your 1 ounce would return you a profit of $60
the same money invested in a non hedged gold producer would probably return a 200%-300% Profit.
There are lots of bullion sellers, but re-think why you want the metal.
Oh , and by the way, I just sold $550,000 worth of gold stock because I think gold and silver is going down in short term by about $70 for gold, silver I don't follow.
I will re-buy later this year at a lower price.

Buying Gold Bullion.?
I am looking at buying a 1/2 oz .9999 PURE GOLD BULLION BAR. This will be the first time i have purchased gold. I wanted to know. This time i am going to buy this as a gift for my wife to have jewellery made from it and in the future for investment. Would this type of purchase be ok for converting to jewellery?
Another question about the same bullion. Generally what grade of gold is sold in bullion form. 9ct, 18ct, 24ct.
24ct. It would be an Ingot not a bar. If you have any jeweller friends they can get it at a pretty good price.
