I own $10,000 worth of old English and Roman Coins. Where is the fastest and best way to sell them?

Last year I purchased 1500 old roman and english coins off my friend. I love the coins but I really need to sell them and get my money back. Where would be the best and quickest way of selling them.

i have an old roman coin how could i find out how much its worth and how old it is.?

it has a king on the front, two people shaking hands on the back. at the bottom of the back it xxi ( think roman numerals). and it has two G's on the side. A coi sales man told me it's from 300 A.D.

cool, i wish i could have a coin that old!!! the oldest coin i have is only 1918, but i would love to have a coin that old! maybe you should bring it to a coin shop and ask the people how much it could be worth.

but i think you should keep it longer. it'll be worth more every year.

Has anyone ever found an old Roman Coin?

I heard of many people in Lebanon that were lucky to have found one(some) ...if so..what did you do with it?

We have about 30 of them that my Dad found there during the war.

No , they aren't worth a lot ...

Considering that the Roman Empire stretched right around the Mediterranean & as far as Britain which it ruled for 400 years , coins & artifacts are still found on a regular basis & hence , aren't that rare.

i have a collection of very old greek and romans coins?

one of them is the ALEXANDER THE GREAT HEAD and others for rome and the third one is the owl face and medusa face?
can some one tell me the value of them?

Interesting question but not enough info.
A lot depends on the rarity of the coins, and also on their exact grade of preservation. Age itself does not increase the price.
Put them on ebay but be sure to include photos. Alternatively, take them to a reputable coin auctioneer like CNG in USA, or Spink in UK. Whatever you do, don't offer them to a dealer. You will be sick when you compare what he gave you to his subsequent asking price.

An arcaeologist found an old Roman coin with an engraving of Julius Caeser dated 48 B.C.?

Why did he know immediately it was a fake?

Because BC means Before Christ and the Romans of 48 BC wouldn't have known who Christ was as he had not been born let alone made into a Deity then we can safely say the coin would be a fake!

an old roman coin Theodosius I i think?!?

i was given this coin as a pendent and tried to see if i could find it online to see if it has any value but i cant find it. I believe that it is Theodosius but on the back there is a man and women she is holding something in the air and he looks to have a stick...does anyone know where i can find it online? it would be great thnx

Old Roman(?) Coin?

I have a coin which seems to be from Ancient Rome judging by the letters and I have seen similar coins on the internet from Ancient Rome. Could anyone either tell me who is on this coin/what year it is from, or point me to a website where I could find the information? Thank you very much in advance.

Is it possible for it to be a counterfeit even though my great grandmother found it (not exactly sure how)?

Yes it could be counterfeit. Still, it might be real. How exciting! Check out this web site to help you see what you think.
