What are some small-medium size, easy to care for reptiles(geckos, etc.)?
I'm considering getting a small or medium size reptile and I'm looking for some advice. I'm looking for a non-primarily aquatic reptile, preferably that doesn't grow to more than a foot long. Please, if possible, include the reptile's main diet, average price, fully grown size, and and notes or tips on caring for them.
I'd suggest visiting your nearest specialist reptile shop/store and speaking to the staff. they should be able to inform you of the specific requirements of each animal.
There are over 5000 species of lizard over 2000 of them are geckos so it's impossible to be specific really because what I like you might not like and each individual animal has specific individual requirements

Why was the front of the one dollar bill completely redesigned in 1963?
The obverse design of the one dollar bill was completely redesigned for the Series of 1963, the first $1 Federal Reserve Notes. Prior $1 series, United States Notes and Silver Certificates, used a more ornate "columns" design which was abandoned in 1963 for the "leaves" design we now use. This redesign was unprecedented in small sized notes, and I would like to know what the motivation behind it was.
In June of 1963 Congress passed legislation that said you could no longer redeem silver certificates for silver coins. In March of 1964 by order of the Secretary of the Treasury redemption in silver dollars was halted. The reason for this is that the melt value of silver was more than the face value of the coins and there was a small run on redemptions so that people could get the coins for melt.
Apparently while they were changing the wording on the note the Bureau of Engraving and Printing changed some of the design elements. Probably so that the new notes were distinguishable from the old notes.

Bill Bryson question? In the book Notes From A Small Island...?
In the book Notes From A Small Island he refers to the size of The Lake District in England, and says 'The Lake District itself takes up less space than the Twin Cities'.
What does he mean by 'the Twin Cities'?
Probably the St. Paul and Minneapolis Twin Cities-- they're among the most famous. And since Bryson was born in Iowa, near Minnesota, it'd be a natural reference point for him.

PS I love reading Bill Bryson! I think In a Sunburned Country is my favorite, though A Walk in the Woods was also good. Haven't read his new biography yet, Thunderbolt Kid.

How do I make my font sizes larger in Lotus Notes?
I use the laptop very often and find that the font size is too small when reading emails and documents in Lotus Notes and would like to increase the size of only the document fonts, not the toolbar. I read the online and help notes, but it only works under high contrast or using the notes.ini file...
is there something I'm missing (sort of like Adobe's zoom feature)?!?
What version are you working with?
You would need to change the template design. Normally only a person with admin access can do this.
Your other option would be to use the permanent pen option in Lotus Notes. Open the help file and lookup permanent pen

How do I make my .avi video file size smaller?
My camera takes videos in .avi form. My 3 minute videos are about 250mb. Long time ago I had a program that made the size of the file a ton smaller. I can't remember if it changed the file format. I don't care what format it is. I just want to make it smaller without losing a whole lot of quality. *Note: this is to make 1 or 2 videos smaller to email to family..not hundreds that need compressed to store.
Oh I know how avis are. I download animes that are avi format. I just convert them with this software that converts them to flv. ( 174 mb comes out 14mb) http://dvdvideosoft.com/products/dvd/Free-Video-to-Flash-Converter.htm
its free ^^ and I love it!!!

Can you tune a smaller sized viola so that it plays the same notes as a violin?
i have a viola that is not full sized and i was wondering if i could tune it so that the notes it plays are the same as a violin.i really have no idea, but i would love it if someone could help me out.
I use a small viola, same length as violin, for my Cajun tuned fiddle. The body depth is greater than a violin, giving a darker sound. I'm using Chromcor violin strings, but will have a local shop work on it to increase brightness.
