Where is the best place to buy Gold or Silver bullion bars? On the internet (which site) or from a dealer? Where is the best place to buy precious metals that is certified?

Apmex.com is the best place to buy PMs online. You may be able to do better with a local dealer if you can establish a good relationship. I'm not sure what you mean by "certified" if you mean slabbed by a grading company like PCCGS or NGC it is really not worth it for bullion coins.

RIsks are just like buying any other commodity; there is likely to be volitility & you may not be comfortable with the price swings if you are only in it for the short-term gains. In the long-term, PMs are in a multi-year bull market & will do very very well for the next 3-5 years or so.

Also you must consider storage with physical gold & silver. Silver is especially bulky when you are talking 100+ ounces so you must think about a place to safely store your bullion.

Silver bars and bullion -- what should you know about the silver before selling it, where can you sell it, what fees will be involved, what market rate should be looked at and should one expect to be able to sell at the published rate?

Sell on eBay

Why?
1. Cheap
2. Big demand
3. Fair competition
4. Buyers are more than happy to pay shipping (often more)

Or Craigslist
1. FREE
2. Local (meet in person, accept cash)

Where can i sell silver bullion bars?

Hi, i have 200 troy oz of .999 silver. Its in 2 bars, and on the bars it says some national bank that Bank of America bought out a couple years ago. Ive tried selling them on ebay, but no one one wants to give me a reasonable price for them because there not "name brand". Could i get some sort of certificate of authenticity? Or is there somewhere when i could get full or very close to full value for it?

You can call your stock broker and just buy an ETF. Ticker SLV or GLD. And when you buy they actually move bullion into a safe for you, and even better you can sell it anytime!

Where can I buy gold and silver bullion bars in Dubai and/or Abu Dhabi?

Best 2 or 3 places I know of in Dubai are at the Gold Souk (Deira):

I recommend Lakhoo +971 (4) 2266501, in one of the side streets of the covered mall of the Souq. Ask most of the shopkeepers where it is and they will direct you. Lakhoo have 2 stores next to each other, first one (the one I mainly frequent) is more a bulk dealer which sells larger quantities of metals (ie bars 1kg of silver & up, Ten Tola or approx 100g of Gold & up). They have low premiums & up to the minute pricing. Next door is a coin/jewelery dealer which deals in small quantities, but their premiums are higher.

There is also Swiss Gold (cant vouch for them they have short opening hours) Anjali +971 (4) 2253487 (were all but out of stock of smaller coins last week) and another one near Anjali which I don't know the name of.

There is a shortage of Silver & smaller denominations of Gold at the moment (you probably already know that if you're a metals bug), and it may be best to call ahead to save you the parking hassles at the Souk. It can take awhile to find parking day or night, so it may be better to take a taxi from Deira, but DON'T do that near closing time or you'll have trouble finding a cab back again. Lakhoo also don't open until around 5pm on Fridays, but every other day they seem to be open from the morning until 9pm sharp.
