What is the difference between zinc rings and sterling silver rings?

i was thinking of buying a ring made of zinc, and im not sure if its worth buying.. should i buy it, or just look for a sterling silver ring?
i dont think i am allergic to zinc... but for sure, im not allergic to sterling silver

Zinc is usually a dull-gray color, silver is shinier. Besides, zinc tarnishes faster than silver.

What are the advantages of Titanium rings over Sterling Silver rings?

I am thinking about purchasing a ring and having a personal memento engraved on the interior of the band. The Titanium rings I'm looking at are a little more expensive (40-70 bucks) and the Sterling Silver are cheaper (20-50 bucks) but I am not sure about the features of each and I can't find a good website that does. Any insight is appreciated!

If you're run over, the titanium will not bend as easily as silver. It won't stain or rust either. It's not the loveliest metal, I bet they use an alloy to spice it up.

were can you buy good sterling silver rings?

I want a sterling silver ring but i cant find any i like. i just want a plain ring no little studs or color. the only color i want is silver. i dont want the ring to be guady either.

where can i get cheap sterling silver rings?

I'm just asking for your typical store in the mall that sells inexpensive jewelery, such as claire's and icing. (and please don't suggest either of those because obviously I'm aware of them.)

or would you suggest going to a flea market? do they have good products?

i just want to find a few nice rings and they have to be sterling silver. fake jewelry brakes me out

I've found some really good silver rings from flea markets. You just have to be careful and look to see if they are marked with 925 (which is the geniune sterling silver mark) :o)

Where can I purchase low priced sterling silver rings to wear?

I love the look of a ring on each finger and want to buy some to wear but I don't want to spend a fortune. Any shops that sell rings? I have looked but it is hard to find rings that don't cost a lot of money. I prefer sterling silver/white gold.

Claires has sterling rings for a few bucks each. Real jewelry stores sell white gold for about $40 and up.

Where can go to get started making sterling silver rings?

I want to make my own jewlery...more or less...rings. I mean some good quality rings...Ive seen some artists make rings out of molds they make...how do I get started?

I took a class - check with a community college. The class was given by a hobby shop owner. The hobby shop had all the supplies needed and also did the lost-wax castings so it all came together. They were also a good source for the metaI, whether silver or the different gold %s, and semi-precious stones like Turquoise, Red Coral, Opals, and Onyx. I got my picks mainly from a dentist. They throw them out when they are still great for wax carving.

What home remedy can I use to clean and shine sterling silver rings?

I've heard of people using baking soda, I've peronally never tried it. The stuff does work really good on lime, calcium, and rust with a scrubber though.
