How many coins/medals were in the collection 1992.?
I have over 1000 coins/medals dated 1992 and are connected to South Africa and Cricket. The coins have 'official shoprite and checkers medal collection 1992'.And depict cricket players such as Jonty Rhodes,Corrie Van Zyl,Kepler Wessels and many more.So far i have found 19 different players, but with so many coins there are hundreds of doubles. So i hope someone with more knowledge on such things, may know how many players are in the collection.
Hope someone can help me with this.
This is one of the largest and more important collections in the UK with many fine examples. The earliest sampler in the collection (CBE33) dates from 1714 and was stitched by Abiah Dickinson and is complete with text "Love the Lord and he will be a Tender Father unto thee. This work in hand my friends may have when I am dead and laid in grave". The latest sampler (1992/8) is dated 1992 and was stitched by Violet Sythes (the wife of our photographic curator) and combines the elements of a traditional sampler with a modern interpretation of Whitby. The collection contains a wide variety of styles. Many of the samplers have local connections and are part of Whitby's history and heritage, particularly of the Quakers (Abiah Dickinson, mentioned above, was the daughter of Arthur and Jane Dickinson of Whitby, who were amongst the earliest followers of George Fox). Many samplers bear names that are still local today, such as Lyth (1992/5 as a memorial to the death of the donors great great-grandfather at sea), Scarfe (1995/9.2), Eliza Marwood Wilkinson (CBE52), Waring (CBE36), Noble (CBE57, CBE58) and Whisson (1992/10). The latter sampler worked by Susannah, aged 10 at St Michael's School in Whitby, can be traced to a local family owning a well-known bistro, with family scattered from Whitby to New Zealand. This family originated in Whissonsett and were falconers to the baron who ruled Norfolk in the aftermath of the Norman invasion of 1066 and their name is mentioned in the Domesday book.

I`ve got realy old coins where can i go to see if they are worth any thing,From south africa?
The coins are money dated as far back as 1952
Luus, yolandamaria d and everyone else.
Don't listen to people who say they are worthless. It is true that these coins are not considered old but that means nothing.
a 1991 Canadian quarter is $6.00 in uncirculated
a 1968 Canadian quarter is $0.85 in uncirculated
True you may not be rich but 20 coins worth $5.00 each is a hundred bucks.
Here is what you need to do.
1. Make a list of what you have.
2. Take good pictures if you can.
3. Ask a coin expert who is NOT a dealer to help you.
4. Check eBay.
If you want post the list on this site and they will help they do that all the time.

How much does one South African Rand equal compared to OTHER South African coins?
I know that 1 U.S. dollar equals about 7.83 Rand in South Africa. Though, there are other coins that are labeled: 5c, 10c, and 20c from South Africa. How much are these coins worth compared to American money?
One Rand equals 100 cents, so one cent=0.001282 US $ or .1282 American cents
