Is it Ileagal to send coins to Hong Kong from the US?
I was sending a letter with coins to my penpal and when i had already sent it she emailed me and said it was illeagal to send money in the mail in hong kong. Is my penpal in danger? am i in danger? what will happen to the letter?
i already sent the letter i just want to know if i did something illeagal or not and if anyone is in danger.
It's not illegal, but it could get lost. Especially with coins because they can damage the envlope. It's safer to send it in a box or a heavy padded envlope.
(no, you are not in danger. Why would you be in danger?)
What do I do with all my Hong Kong coins!?
I have about Hong Kong $1,000 worth of coins. Most are $1 or $2 dollar coins. Is there an easy way to exchange all of them? Or do i have to take a bag full of all these coins to the bank?
My god you collect them? I can't stand when I have to much coins but 1000 HKD ??? This is really too much.
Go to the bank, that's the best solution or go to Macau and change them to play in casinos.
Purchasing bullion coins in Hong Kong?
Where can I purchase bullion coins such as the Krugerrand, Canadian Maple, American Eagle or Australia nugget or gold bars such as Credit Suisse or PAMP in Hong Kong? So far, I have seen dozens of Chow Tai Fook shops, but they are only able to offer Chinese biscuit bars which I am not keen on. Could someone tell me the exact branch or address of a gold dealer who sells these? Thanks.
You may have to settle for the Chinese bars...you could have them melted somewhere if you just want the bullion.
How much is a 2 dollar Hong Kong coin worth in US dollars?
My brother just got one and I really want to know.
There're four types of the 2 dollar circulation coin; first depicting the young Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse(years 1975-84), second with a more mature Queen's head type 1985-92, third and still in circulation is the type with Bauhinia flower, and the fourth type rarely found in circulation dated 1997 depicts two figures(the Ho Ho Brothers). All of these four types are legal tender coins, including the ones with the Queen's head that have not been struck since 1993 and are slowly being phased out.
Outside Hong Kong, all the 2 dollar coins regardless of design have collector value of about $0.40 to $0.50 in average circulated, and in nice circulated it's about $0.60-$0.80. 1978 is the best date of the 2 dollar coins.

Yes,the Queen is the Head of many COMMONWEALTH countries.
